Chris made a gutsy call on suspect weather ( Don’t you just love weathermen? ) which turned out to be the correct one with gradually clearing skies throughout the regatta. We are going to attempt to race today rain should be gone around 10 it will be wet but not raining. Bring water it’s gonna be HOT.

It was decided that rather than running the 4th Annual V36 regatta, which will be rescheduled-probably in October, we would run the postponed V36#2. Four skippers completed a full 12 race schedule finishing just as some very serious rain began. Start time for all series regattas has been changed from 1:00 to 12:00 as noted on our modified Facebook schedule page. This does not affect special regattas.

The second regatta of the doubleheader ran from 1:00 to a bit before 3:00. Rick Gates graciously allowed Herb to sail his boat as Herb’s was sidelined. First regatta of a doubleheader that ran 10:30-12:30. 5 boats started out but Herb’s boat started having control problems at the conclusion of the first race but he was able to get it to shore. Next week we are not racing however, we will be adding on June 1st V36 race #2. It was an off week for us, now we are racing.  We have back-to-back VM’s on May 25th with a start time of 10:30-12:30 VM1, 12:30-1:00 lunch, 1:00-3:00 VM2.
