
Commodore Chris O’Brien
Chris O’Brien had sailed in Marblehead Ma CR 914’s in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. Chris took a short sabbatical after he moved out of Marblehead Ma and established a residence in Nashua. For the last two years, Chris has been sailing at Sandy Pond Nashua sharpening his sailing skills. He has also joined the Minute Man Model Yacht Club that sails in Needham Ma.
As a valued member of the Nashua Model Yacht Club, Chris has helped former Commodore Rick Gates with programs at the Boys and Girls Club in Nashua
Chris has also assumed the posts of Secretary and Treasurer for the year.

Commodore Emeritus Rick Gates
Rick is the founder and guiding light of Nashua Model Yacht Club.
Rick has been sailing model boats for many years in the New England area. He has been an important part of other clubs including the Marblehead Model Yacht Club, the Minuteman Model Yacht Club, and the Back Bay Skippers Model Yacht Club, sponsored by the New Hampshire Boat Museum.
As a representative of the boat museum he has conducted several S.T.E.M. sessions in the New England area on building and sailing model boats.
