2nd Annual V36 Open Rescheduled
The 2nd Annual V36 Open has been rescheduled on October 29,2022.
2nd Annual V36 Open postponed.
Algae clumps invaded the racecourse as the first race was started and got much worse from there. Combine this with high heat and humidity ( Real-Feel temp of 105°) and fickle breeze that dropped dramatically about 1/2 way through the first race caused the decision to postpone the regatta to a later, still to beContinue reading “2nd Annual V36 Open postponed.”
We Had Wind!
Estimating around 15 MPH wind ( with much higher gusts) aloft which translated into some strong gusts, severe swirls and many knockdowns and roundups on the course. Four skippers completed 2 full 12 heat regattas today, one (a makeup from earlier in the season) in the AM and the other after an hour break atContinue reading “We Had Wind!”
Herb Wins Twice
Thanks to the 2 popup shades brought by Chris and Jerry as well as the iced water that Chris brought, conditions were tolerable. Due to the extreme heat, it was decided that both regattas would be 6 races.Continue reading “Herb Wins Twice”
Herb does it again!

NMYC Does Extremely Well @ Sasquatch Regatta
On Saturday, June 18 several NMYC members competed in Wolfeboro at the Sasquatch Footy Regatta. With heavy winds, 15mph with gusts to 25, our members braved very difficult conditions and took the top 3 positions. Alain Jousse took 1st, Rick Gates took 2nd and Cliff Martin took 3rd. Congratulations skippers!
2nd DF95 Regatta Postponed
We had Rick, Alain, and Chris show up. As race time approached, the wind shifted and blew a large number of weeds onto the course causing impossible racing conditions. Because of this, racing was canceled and will be a made up at a later date. The good news is that most of the weed isContinue reading “2nd DF95 Regatta Postponed”
