An interesting weather day. Good breezes through the first 6 races but during the break the pond became like a mirror, so much so that there was talk of ending things but after an extended break ( Alain’s wife ordered Domino’s pondside which arrived late) and before the start of race seven the breeze picked right back up, although added deadspots and swirlies became much more plentiful. Cliff had to sail Herb’s Comet as his boat developed a significant leak right before the start. On the water Herb pretty much dominated. Cliff did well too but Herb’s boat had more speed on the longest leg, which was sometimes the deciding factor. The race for third was tight with Rick G taking it. As this was the Seventh Annual V-36 reschedule, trophies were awarded to the top three places.
