Can you say “WIND”? That describes today’s weather to a “T”! Four intrepid skippers braved very windy conditions through twelve races today. Knockdowns were more the norm than the exception and gunnels were under water most of the day. The winds were fickle though with boats just a few feet apart often on the same heading but on different tacks or one close hauled and the other wing on wing! Surprisingly, minimal mechanical problems resulted. One parted sheet, easily repaired, and one shroud became unattached from the chainplate.
