What a day! Temperature in the low 80’s, mostly clear skies and the best breezes we’ve had all year. Prior to racing we even had 2 schooners on the water for tuning. Cliff and Alain brought their boats in anticipation of the Vintage Nationals to be held in New Jersey in October. On racing, you will note that it was a race for second as Cliff posted an impressive 12 firsts. It should be noted that Rick Gates did, in fact, challenge Cliff in a few races with once being passed inches before the finish line due to a wind shift.
