Amazingly we saw the sun! We were greeted with light, finicky breezes coming out of the west ( the worst direction for Sandy Pond “swirlies”), weeds were, unfortunately, abundant, and dead spots abundant. In spite of this, we got in 12 races as shown below. Cliff outclassed the pack including a few races where he was trailing weeds at the finish line. Chris, sailing the only Classic, took second, with Rick Laird closely behind. Jerry was having rudder problems which, after final pull out, was identified as a bad rudder pushrod (slip fit connection that could move in and out).
